Keyborad Shortcuts
Animated images on a page can often be stopped by pressing the escape button on your keyboard.
To change the print size on a page you are viewing: hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and turn the wheel of the mouse forward to shrink the font; turn the wheel toward you to increase the font.
Move quickly between lines or squares in a form by pressing the Tab button. You can also hit the Tab button to go between sections of a web page or sections in a menu.
Hold down the Shift button while pressing the Tab button to move backwards through a form or web page.
To change the size of the font that you see on your monitor, click on View then Text Size, then pick one of the options.
Hit the F11 key on the keyboard to switch to a very large view, since this hides the toolbars at the top of the of your screen. Hit the F11 key again to go back to normal viewing.
To search a page for a certain word, hold down the Ctrl button and hit the F key to bring up the Find window.
Click on F1 to open the help section of Internet Explorer.
Hold down the Alt button and hit the Home button to go to your Home page.
Go back to the last window you were on by holding down the Alt button and hitting the Tab button.
To go forward between frames, hold down the Ctrl button and hit the Tab or the F6 button.
To go backwards between frames, hold down the Shift button and the Ctrl button and then hit the Tab button.
Scroll up or down on a webpage by hitting the up or down arrow button.
Open a new window by holding down the Ctrl button and hitting the N key.
Close a window by holding down the Ctrl button and hitting the W key.
Scroll up a page a line at a time, click on the up arrow.
Scroll down a page a line at a time, click on the down arrow.
Go up a page a screen at a time, click on the Page Up key.
Go down a page a screen at a time, click on the Page Down key.
Go directly to the beginning of a document by clicking on the Home key.
Go directly to the end of a document by clicking on the End key.
Refresh the page by clicking on the F5 key.
Save the page by holding down the Ctrl key and hitting the S key.
Print the page by holding down the Ctrl key and hitting the P key
